The Larkspur Residence
The heart of the Larkspur Residence is a kitchen that does a lot of work without ever looking busy. We wrapped the main wall in floor to ceiling rift cut oak, stacking the upper cabinets so the storage runs uninterrupted to the ceiling. Tucked into that wall are two retractable appliance garages. The pocket doors slide back into the cabinet body to reveal a lit coffee station and prep counter, then close flush when the day is done. Everything from the coffee maker to the toaster disappears, and the wall reads as clean, continuous millwork.
Project Overview
The home plays rich against dark, pairing mocha-stained oak cabinetry with honed black stone, warm brass hardware, and a jewel-toned wet bar, all softened by integrated lighting and clean slab profiles. Each space carries its own character while still reading as one calm, cohesive home.

What We Built:
Kitchen: Mocha oak slab cabinetry wrapped around a professional range, matching oak floating shelves over a full-height black stone backsplash, and brushed brass knobs and pulls carried through every drawer and door.
Islands: Two islands in the same oak and black stone, one a working island with an integrated sink and the other a seating island for four, built to split the kitchen into prep and gathering zones.
Storage Wall: A floor-to-ceiling run of tall oak cabinetry with stacked uppers that meet the ceiling line, long brass appliance pulls, and deep pantry storage, designed to keep everything out of sight.
Coffee Station: Two retractable appliance garages with pocket doors that slide back into the cabinet body, revealing LED-lit shelving and a stone prep counter, then close flush when the day is done.
Wet Bar: An oak bar cabinet topped in dramatic quartzite, with LED-lit oak floating shelves over a green stacked tile backsplash, built to give entertaining its own spot off the kitchen.
